Dr. Ma. Lourdes de Asis is a board-certified, fellowship trained Allergy and Immunology specialist who is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy and Immunology. She has provided comprehensive allergy, asthma, and immunology care to the Rockland and Bergen county communities for 20 years. She has a special interest in sinus disease and drug allergy and has extensive experience in chemotherapy, aspirin and other drug evaluation/ desensitization procedures.

Dr. de Asis is the Section Chief of Allergy and Immunology at Nyack Hospital, NY. She is also affiliate faculty at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. After receiving her medical degree from the University of the Philippines and a masters in public health from Columbia University, Dr. de Asis finished an Internal Medicine residency at SUNY- Downstate in Brooklyn and her fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx.

Dr. de Asis has published in journals and textbooks on the topics of asthma, sinusitis, immune deficiency, urticarial, and food allergy and has presented numerous papers at the annual meetings of the American Academy of Allergy and Immunology and the American College of Allergy and Immunology. She is a firm believer in the patient-centered care model which stresses effective communication, empathy, and partnership between doctor and patient

Dr. de Asis has been selected multiple times as one of America’s Best Physicians by the Consumer’s Research Council of America and Bergen’s Top Doctors by 201 Magazine.
